Guest: Investigative journalist Lindsay Beyerstein

The big news on this Wednesday is a call made by the website BuffaloBeast.com to Wisconsin’s Governor Scott Walker pretending to be David Koch. It seems that the website went down today, but the publisher says that it is because of traffic not because it was targeted by some group in a denial of service attack.

And it appears that the call is legit and that is Scott Walker on the other end of the call. You may need to take a shower after listening to the call just to wash off the scum.

Next Sam welcomes investigative journalist and blogger at Big Think/Focal Point Lindsay Beyerstein to talk about her new piece on The Media Consortium called the Republicans’ War on Women. The Tea Party-filled Republicans swept into Congress this year promising jobs and fiscal responsibility but has done nothing except attack woman’s rights from abortion to family planning.

A Koch-run PAC gave Scott Walker $43,000 for his campaign and is now readying an ad demonizing WI protesters.

Update: Deputy Attorney General for the state of Indiana who said that the police should use live ammo against the protesters in WI on Twitter was just sacked.

Federal judge in DC becomes third to uphold health care mandate.

Breaking News: Obama administration to stop enforcing Defense Of Marriage Act.

If you are not a Majority Report member you  miss out on the Members Only Show podcast where Sam got all animal-rights activist-y (not really), described the Rube Goldberg-like lengths he has gone to keep the raccoons out, and squeezed in a few more news stories that did not fit in the free show all while taking listener’s IMs. Become a member today so you don’t miss any more of MR!

Show notes – Thursday and Friday will not be live shows, but Sam will post all new interviews on the site.
