Guest: Investigative journalist Matt Taibbi

Protests continued in Wisconsin and throughout the country last weekend. Michael Moore gave a speech in Madison declaring that “America is not broke. The country is awash in wealth and cash. It’s just that it’s not in your hands.”

In the Middle East Egyptian protesters have stormed the headquarters of the secret police in Cairo finding evidence of phone tapping and torture. And in Libya it appears that a full on civil war has pretty much begun.

Yesterday was Sunday which means that John McCain had to be on TV and he continued his streak of inconsistency by saying he is now against Muammar Gaddafi (but was for him two years ago). What a maverick!

Sam went into a tirade of profanities on Friday’s Members Only show when discussing the treatment and new charges brought against Bradley Manning but kept it clean for further comment today. Alternet echos Sam’s take: Why Is Exposing a War Crime More Dangerous Than Committing One?

Matt Taibbi joins Sam to talk about his new article in Rolling Stone magazine about why Wall Street isn’t in jail.

Record crowds gather in Trenton, NJ last weekend to protest the Republican party’s (and it appears the main stream media’s) new darling Governor Chris Christie and his sweeping budget cuts.

If you are not a Majority Report member you miss out on the Members Only Show podcast. Join today to get all the Sammy-action!

On today’s Members Only show Sam tries to allay fears about the popularity of Chris Christie- likening him to Rudy Giuliani’s 2008 run for president, give us the Majority Report name origin story, and takes listeners IMs.
