   The left was not represented in the budget “deals” – y should we vote for the Dems if they constantly just respond to the crazies? There is no national political convo – we have the Rabid Right steering and the Dems yelling in the passenger seat. We should be talking about homes, health and the economy. Not false abortion stats or being scared of a fake enemy. WTF? lol in any case, I followed u Digby!

     If the Dems and Obama lose, as bad as they are, the next pick for the SCOTUS will be another right wing activist and with lifetime terms we will be stuck with that. As you see, it is hard enough now with the bade rulings they’ve made and to unwind what a RW gov’t could do will take years.

       I know – I was considering the treatment of the CO Bradley Manning, would he be tortured More with a Republican? That very question- when I voted for President Obama the first time- shows that the IDEA of America is being slowly (or maybe not so) destroyed. One of my callers (HERB, you rock) said that he was thinking of the Supreme Court nominations. The thought of Trump or Palin appointing someone makes me throw up in my mouth more than a little. What do we do when the choices are a eloquent Liar or a Racist Moron? GEEZE

   I still remember when everyone was shocked when Digby was outed as a woman! So good to hear her voice on your show, Sam. Thanks for the interview. She’s great at boiling things down to the more longterm political and ideological implications of these small Pyrrhic Democratic “victories.”
