OK, video idea. Someone NEEDS to do this.
Scene: Woman prepares the dinner table (set for one). The woman is wearing a dress. She’s not stick-thin, but she’s not fat, either. Plate is moderately full, with healthy food choices – some meat (not steak, something less expensive), veggies and some fruit, a little starch. Each food is labeled with a domestic spending category – education, infrastructure, environment, etc.
Man walks in. He is labeled “Conservatives”.
Woman: Do you like my new dress?
Man: (angry) That dress makes your ass look fat! You need to go on a diet! Here…
Man starts to remove portions of food from the plate, throwing them on the floor. When he’s done, there is less than half of each portion left on the plate.
Man: (over action) Let’s get rid of this, you don’t need to be eating that, this is going to go to your waist (etc)
Woman looks upset, but sits down at the table. Man walks to the fridge, pulls out a large cake, labeled “Defense Spending”.
Man: When you’re done, you can eat this!
Close-up on the cake, pan to man, who is suddenly holding a large bucket of ice cream, labeled “war spending”, and a large scoop, full of ice cream. As he dumps the huge portion of ice cream on top of the cake…
Man: And don’t forget to eat this too!
