    “If a Tree Falls”

    I watched it this morning.

I think the libertards think that they’re being sabotaged, that they’re being stopped from achieving their natural born greatness by something. That something can’t be the very people they envy, so it has to be the rules of the game that are holding them back, that if only they were unshackled from the rules we all live by that they’d achieve their destiny. Somehow they overlook the fact that the existing elite succeeded under the rules that exist and which they claim are holding them back. Libertards are selfish and narcissists.

Look what happened in California when they deregulated a necessity. The costs of healthcare would skyrocket under a libertarian system (unless you were a one-percenter who owned the resources).

  3. Will Perry Open Door to Independent Candidate?

NBC News’ Chief White House Correspondent Chuck Todd predicted that if Rick Perry wins the Republican presidential nomination, a “semi-credible independent candidate” would emerge, Matt Lewis reports.

Said Todd: “If Perry’s the nominee, I think there’s going to be be a serious effort of some sort of moderate Republican linking up with a conservative Democrat of trying to run in some sort of like, ‘let’s throw all the bums out — let’s crash the party,’ you know, a la Perot.”

He added: “I just continue to believe that’s what’s coming.”

All libertarians should be required to take a tour of the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, so they could see how people lived a mere hundred years ago:

    http://www.tenement.org/

Before the Tenement Act of 1901 and other Progressive Era legislation was enacted, the streets were piled high with about five feet of garbage. If horses died, they remained rotting in the streets. Swill milk (adulterated watered down milk) resulted in appalling infant mortality. And that’s if you were lucky enough to live on the Lower East Side, instead of Five Points (a real slum). Having everyone pitch in a little tax money so Big Gub’ment can pick up the trash starts to look like a pretty attractive option.

  5. Boner’s speaking now. Too many regulations on business makes it hard to create jobs.

  6. We live in a McCorpocracy run by “Have Mores” who own politicians. Opinions to the contrary come from the ignorant in denial, or those wishing spotlight invisibility. To a significant extent, it doesn’t matter WHO is US president or which party they represent. Entrenched interests -those who will be around and in control- long after a president comes and goes, rule.
