From the DailyKos:  Single Payer Health Care For California: The Vote Will be Soon. It’s Now or Never.

Digby on the snooze-ville GOP debate last night that lead to Gingrich’s complaint today that the audience wasn’t allowed to voice their bloodlust.  And with Romney’s taxes finally making an appearance, will Obama use the opportunity to address the issue of capital gains?  Digby dives into Romney’s real perspective on the solution for under water mortgage holders and the scourge that is involved with filing for Chapter 13.  Plus, Sam on the two sides of Santorum, the comical and the dark.  And congratulations to the west coast Longshoremen as a settlement is reached in the labor dispute at the Port of Longview.  Your calls and IM’s.

It’s like Obama2012 gave Mitt some paper and said, “Color yourself as the Monopoly Man” and he did it.

  4. From Wikipedia: A white elephant is an idiom for a valuable but burdensome possession of which its owner cannot dispose and whose cost (particularly cost of upkeep) is out of proportion to its usefulness or worth. The term derives from the story that the kings of Siam (now Thailand) were accustomed to make a present of one of these animals to courtiers who had rendered themselves obnoxious, in order to ruin the recipient by the cost of its maintenance. In modern usage, it is an object, scheme, business venture, facility, etc., considered to be without use or value.

  5. Nathalie Perreault says:

To those who now feel badly for Paterno’s death and want to say that this shouldn’t define his entire career, I say : “You are missing the point.” Why? Because his inaction has defined the entire LIFE of many young vulnerable boys. This man, enjoyed a long life and a long profitable career, a life of privilege and when an IMPORTANT decision was placed before him, not a decision that causes the loss of a mere game, but one that changed and lost the lives of vulnerable children, he chose the easy route, he chose to look the other way and go back to his comfortable life. Who cares about ones’ career, what matters in the end is the PERSON you were. I feel no loss for him, my heart remains with the victims.

    What do you think?

About a man who says he didn’t know that a man(boy) could be raped ?

I think Nathalle Perreault has spoken with conviction and that’s how these crimes should be handled, with convictions! The school has to pay.!
