   I was listening to more about this Libor scandal on Sam Seder yesterday, and Taibbi was talking to Sam about a meeting with Hank Paulson and the heads of all the other banks (except Bear Stearns) meeting in Moscow in 2008. As Taibbi points out, it’s a little strange and certainly makes you wonder if Libor rates weren’t being manipulated here in the U.S. as well. However, if all of them were in on it, that would mean our only recourse is to either nationalize all the banks, or hit them with huge fines – neither of which would benefit the economy (see “too big too fail”). But no matter how this turns out, this story is a really big deal:

   So I just happened to be reading the section about political conversions in Chris Mooney’s book “The Republican Brain” (p. 106), where he describes the studies in which liberals are pushed into scoring more conservatively on questionnaires by being distracted or rushed and “not having time to think”, which is just how Jonathan phrased his change of heart, as having more time to think things through.

   Cliff’s a smart guy. I never thought to consider how much bargaining power Obama threw away because he was too infatuated with the banks. Probably for the best as i’d rather not waste my savings on a replacement LCD and window. This supports the notion that Obama’s been working for a second term this entire time.

   I know Sam’s getting up in years but confusing the Screaming Majority for Reefercake? If he keeps watching Mittz’ speeches, you’re going to forget his own daughter’s name and have to call her “Hey you” when calling her.

   Oh, and hey all. And, oh look, more studying.
