We like Ezra Klein, but he makes a terrible host and never asks the hard questions or challenges the guests much. We prefer him wonking out with his charts and graphs and being strictly a guest on Chris’ show. That’s where Ezra excels.

I would love to hear an actual debate between Sam and Andy Kindler about Obama. Kindler’s “Obamabot” routine isn’t very funny, especially not the second time. A serious dialog on the subject would be much more interesting.

It was hilarious. The bits about “I’m sure Assange did something wrong” & “drone strikes are a necessary evil” were brilliant. The sarcasm in those “Obamabot” statements contains the comedic value.

Give us a frikin’ break dude! You can find “a serious dialog on the subject” just about anywhere and several X a week right here @ Majority.FM, Sam arguing both pro’s & con’s. Andy Kindler is first & foremost a comedian, not a pundit. If you are not finding what you’re looking for here then move on and if you don’t know what your in for on “Casual Friday” w/ Andy Kindler as a guest then you are oblivious to the reality that we all share.

Did you ever think they may not be oblivious and maybe just not like some part of the “program?” Jessayin’. It’s funny but a little weird b/c Kindler has revealed himself to actually be an Obot in the past, so are we supposed to think now he is questioning that or that he is playing to the “enemy” for laughs when he still actually thinks that stuff? (In other words “just because I don’t care doesn’t mean I don’t understand.”) And if the latter, well, that’s weird and a lil’ disturbing. “…a superfluous layer of ironly…” as someone once said. This has been 90s throwback quote day. Thnx.
