This is horrible – all I could think of was the Dunblane shooting, which was part of the news coverage this summer when Andy Murray (who had hidden under his school desk at age 9 during this shooting) was playing Wimbledon – very similar.

Like Dunblane, Newtown is a small community. The worst was listening to the Dunblane parents, including Murray’s mother, describe how terrible it was to feel relieved your child was okay but your neighbor’s had been killed, and the continuing pain to the community still 20 years later.
