I heard Mr. Turse speak about his book on another show and it scared the bejesus out of me. Shortly after that interview I caught Cheney with Charlie Rose and that scared me even more.
What is going on with our military?
Will we ever know what’s going on in real-time?

Hey Blog… The MRR Blogger, formerly known as Dadalux beat the world record for Q*Bert this week and was mentioned, (and shown) on Jimmy Kimmel last night… Sam should have him on again…

Florida Atlantic University recently constructed a $70 million football stadium and was on the hunt for a sponsor for the facility. Private prison industry giant “Geo Group” stepped in to fill that void and the prison company has already given the university $6 million for the naming rights for 12 years.
Michael Brooks, producer for The Majority Report, gives us his take on the unusual union.

Great show. The best movie about Vietnam I’ve ever seen was “The Boys in Company C” which came out in 1978 – a very, very dark comedy along the lines of Catch-22 and MASH. R. Lee Ermey plays himself as the drill sergeant in the boot camp segment, and the whole movie is considered to be very accurate. The cussing and graphic dialogue probably drew at least an R rating, and in 1978 everybody wanted to disco and forget the war, so I guess that’s why it’s such a sleeper, but it heavily influenced the subsequent wave of Vietnam movies. Definitely worth your time.

This clip gives a more accurate idea of the movie than the whitewashed trailer:
